Liberia inks rail deal with Sable Mining

Sable Mining Africa has signed an infrastructure development agreement (IDA) with the Liberian government relating to the construction, financing and operation of rail and port infrastructure required for the Nimba Iron Ore Project. The IDA covers a 25-year period, with anticipated total investment of US$1.3B over that period. Work on the infrastructure is now expected to begin this year. Sable secured a mining licence for the project from the government of Guinea in September 2013.
