Russian federal authorities have approved Tuva Energy Industrial Corporation’s (TEPK) plans to construct the 410 km Kyzyl-Kuragino Railway (KKR). With a peak capacity of 37 Mtpa, KKR will connect Russia’s coalrich Tuva in Siberia with the Trans-Siberian Railway (TSR) and thus the country’s Pacific coast.
