Saudis kick off rail project

Maadin (the Saudi Mining Company) and construction giant Saudi Oger will jointly execute the US$2 bill, privatelymanaged, 1,500 km rail link between Jeddah and Dammam. The Saudi government will bear 50 percent of the project’s cost, Saudi Communications Minister Dr Nasir Al-Salloum said recently.
