Fenosa mulls train operation

The deregulation of rail freight services in Spain, which is due to become law in 2003 in line with EU legislation, is generating interest from several private sector operators including electricity generator Union Fenosa, which is currently spending Pta435 bill a year on outside suppliers and believes it could make big savings if it were to operate its own trains.
