Associated British Ports (ABP) has developed its coal handling facilities in the Humber region. It successfully tested the water with the construction of Humber International Terminal (now known as HIT 1), a multi-purpose riverside terminal at Immingham, adjacent to the Corus coal and iron ore jetty in 2000.
