Despite a freak gust of wind in early January at Westshore Terminals’ coal export facility at Roberts Bank, Canada, which demolished two quadrant shiploaders, injuring their operators, and putting Berth 2 out of action for up to six months, the facility has managed an impressive comback.

Canada’s biggest diversified miner Teck Resources Limited has signed a deal with Westshore Terminals for the shipment of metallurgical coal from Teck’s mines in British Columbia and Alberta for a four year term from 1 April 2012 to 31 March 2016.
