ABP breaks ground on a new bulk store

Associated British Ports, Crover to further develop a grain-monitoring robot to enhance workplace safety.

The last of the five Mantsinen hydraulic cranes to be delivered and installed by Cooper Specialised Handling at Associated British Ports (ABP) facilities around the UK, as part of an overall deal worth around £6M negotiated last year, has gone into service at the Port of Ipswich.

The UK port of King’s Lynn has invested £3.3M into constructing a new bulk warehouse and new hydraulic crane. Port operator Associated British Ports (ABP) said the investment would provide its customers with access to upgraded facilities and equipment that will drive efficiency across the port.

Yara UK has extended its northwest UK import operations on another ABP site, with the establishment of storage and bagging facilities at the Port of Garston.

International agreements to reduce pollution should end the days of bingeing on coal, but new handling facilities are still being developed.

Following one of the largest tenders of its type, Associated British Ports (ABP) has ordered five ropeless hydraulic boom/stick cranes purposebuilt by Mantsinen for port operations.
