Long Beach starts iron ore exports

Southern Ports and Gold Valley marked a milestone as MV Sifnos departed the Port of Esperance with 78,000t of iron ore.

Arc Infrastructure has launched Gold Valley Iron Ore train services, with the inaugural train transporting ore from West Kalgoorlie to Esperance.

Between January and August 2024, Chinese seaborne dry bulk imports rose 6% y/y, driven by inventory build-up, despite domestic concerns.
