The large-scale investment will be split over four stages, under an agreement reached this year with Egypt’s Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade.

Ukraine-based grain trader Nibulon has started construction of a new grain transhipment terminal on the Southern Bug River, which links the country’s grain producing regions with the Black Sea.

Nibulon, one of Ukraine’s largest grain exporters, has begun construction of the country’s only river grain terminal to be located in its southern Kherson region, on the Dnieper River.

Ukraine’s largest river port and fleet operator Ukr-RichFlot, is planning to invest US$17M in developing its operational infrastructure this year.

Agro-Maas NV, the Belgian stevedoring company with growing operations in Eastern Europe, has started construction of a grain handling terminal at the Ukrainian river port of Kremenchuk, some 250 km down the Dnieper from the country’s capital of Kiev.
