Rio Tinto shifts to renewable diesel at Kennecott
NewsRio Tinto’s Kennecott mine in Utah now runs entirely on renewable diesel, giving it one of the lowest carbon footprints among US copper producers.
Forecast good for Asia’s aluminium production
StandardAluminium production involves two inde pendent processes for converting naturally occurring aluminium oxide ores to the extracted metal. The first stage is the refining of bauxite ore to alumina, which is also known as aluminium oxide. The second stage is the reduction process of alumina to aluminium metal, in a primary smelter.
