StandardAfter grab handling, pneumatic ship discharge is the second oldest method of unloading free flowing and granular cargoes and as such has benefited considerably from the advance in technology, even though the basic principle is the same. As such energy consumption, while not on a par with that of grab unloaders, is now greatly reduced.
