CSUs grab market share

While arguments about the relative merits and disadvantages of grab unloaders and continuous ship unloaders (CSUs) will continue, there is one market sector in which CSUs are unquestionably superior – in the discharge of fine and powdery commodities such as cement. A CSU, whether mechanical or pneumatic, can achieve this task in a totally enclosed environment, particularly if pneumatic or screw conveying technology is employed for the transfer from the quayside to the silos.
