Peiner grabs spun off by parent firm

Using grabs to discharge ships can sometimes be more productive than continuous unloaders. An important component in a grab configuration is the tagline.

Through Port Supplies Srl in Modena, Terminal Rinfuse Genova (TRGE – Genoa Bulk Terminal) has acquired a new 5.5 m3 mechanical clamshell grab from Peiner SMAG.

Through Port Supplies Srl in Modena, Terminal Rinfuse Genova (TRGE – Genoa Bulk Terminal) has acquired a new 5.5 m3 mechanical clamshell grab
from Peiner SMAG. It will be used to unload salt and sand at TRGE’s Ponte Rubattino Quay.

In the first nine months of 2021, the Port of Hamburg increased its seaborne cargo throughput by 2.9% to 95.8 Mt.

ZPMC has completed two grab unloader deliveries in recent weeks. One unit was delivered to TERAMG Terminal Co Ltd, located in the Port of Santos, Brazil, and is now in operation. TERAMG is a repeat customer for ZPMC after its purchase 15 years ago of a 1,200 tph grab unloader, which is still in operation.
