Terex Fuchs scoops design award

The mobile harbour crane market is becoming increasingly competitive.

Quality Freight UK, part of Quality Freight Group, has invested £300,000 in a new Terex Fuchs hydraulic materials handler, a rubber-tyred MHL360, to handle vessels and trains at its Ellesmere Port terminal on the Manchester Ship Canal. The company already operates a Terex Fuchs RHL340 crawler-mounted materials handler in nearby St Helens, discharging bulk trains for DB Cargo. Both cranes can be moved at short notice on low loaders to locations across North West England. This has included loading

The popularity of hydraulic cranes has blurred the line between grabs and attachments.

Liebherr has reported that its LHM mobile harbour cranes (MHCs) once again contributed strongly to the overall success of Liebherr Maritime Cranes. The company said that 2013 ranks amongst its most successful years, with deliveries of almost 80 cranes with an order value of €280M. Various highlights characterised the year, including the remarkable order intake for the 600 series in Latin America and the launch of the Liebherr Maritime Cranes simulator range.
