Temasek upbeat on Mongolia mining

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has granted a US$250M loan for the development of the Tsagaan Suvarga copper mine in Dornogobi province, south-eastern Mongolia.

Rio Tinto has paid about $935M for 133.6 million shares of Ivanhoe Mines, or 51% of the stock the Canadian miner put up in a shareholder rights offering.
