Canadian grain merger

Canada’s Competition Bureau has said it will study a proposed merger between the country’s two largest grain handlers after Saskatchewan Wheat Pool (SWP) made a hostile bid for Agricore United. If the bureau lets the takeover proceed the new company would own more than half of Western Canada’s grain handling capacity.
