In 2015, Congress approved the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation Act, a five-year authorisation of US$305B-worth of infrastructure upgrades, which will include the country’s bulk ports and waterways. Now, all eyes are on President Donald Trump’s US$1T plan to tackle what he sees as “America’s crumbling infrastructure”.
