LNG-fueled Capesize bulker delivered to K Line
NewsCape Hayate, a 210,000 dwt LNG-fueled bulker with a dual-fuel engine, was delivered to K Line, reducing CO2 by 25-30%, SOx by nearly 100%, and NOx by 75%.
K Line bulker fleet to grow
StandardJapan’s Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (K Line) plans to have a bulker fleet of 80 ships, comprising 60 Capesize and 20 Panamax bulkers, by 2008, up from about 50 now, not including ships spot-chartered or hired under contracts shorter than one year.
