Petmin invests in Canadian project

South African-based, JSE- listed minerals, mining and processing company Petmin has entered into a five-year take-or-pay sale agreement for 300,000 tpa of production from the third wash plant under development at its Somkhele anthracite mine in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

Petmin has been granted a 20-year mining licence for an expansion to new mining areas at its flagship Somkhele anthracite operation in northern KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

JSE-listed Petmin has signed a renewable five-year agreement which will enable it to export up to 600,000t of metallurgical anthracite a year from Grindrod Terminal’s Kusasa dry bulk facility in Richards Bay, located in the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa.

Hummingbird Resources and Petmin have announced successful aeromagnetic survey results from the Mount Ginka iron ore target, conducted by their joint venture Iron Bird Resources in Liberia.

JSE-and AIM-listed mining company Petmin has entered into a transaction with TSX-listed base metals development company Red Crescent Resources (RCR) to subscribe for shares in RCR and to subsequently invest directly in RCR’s Sivas copper project in central Turkey.

South Africa-based miner Petmin has entered into a joint venture with Hummingbird Resources and Hummingbird’s wholly owned subsidiary Iron Bird Resources, relating to Hummingbird’s Mount Ginka licence for the exploration of iron ore in Liberia.
