Arc Infrastructure has announced the start of Gold Valley Iron Ore train services, with the first train running from West Kalgoorlie to the Port of Esperance on 30 September.

The first train marks the commencement of operations under the recently signed Track Access Agreement between Arc and Gold Valley, which will see around 1.2mtpa of iron ore transported on the Arc Network.

The agreement is linked to Gold Valley’s Wiluna West Iron Ore Project, starting with three return train paths a week.

Arc Infrastructure manages Western Australia’s rail freight network, operating and maintaining a railway that stretches more than 5,000 kilometres across the state.

Based in Perth, Gold Valley is involved in the exploration, development and production of iron ore assets in Western Australia and the Northern Territory.
