Two unusually large, rail-mounted, multi-purpose lemniscate cranes were recently commissioned at Nico Vervat’s Flushing Marine Terminal (FMT) at Zeeland Seaport’s Quarlehaven faclity in Vlissingen. The lemniscate design is a popular and proven tool for floating bulk transhipment duties in the Rhine delta, but rail-mounted versions are less common.
